Arctic National Wildlife Refuge:
Seasons of Life and Land
February 5, 2005—May 8, 2005 FIELD MUSEUM CHICAGO
Luminous photographs capture the fragile beauty of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Photographer Subhanker Banerjee documents the interdependence of animals, plants, humans, and their environment in a series of photographs taken over the course of two years. These images reveal a landscape teeming with life even in bitterest of icy winters, and document the remarkable biodiversity of this pristine region.
